(No podcast/radio version. I’m editing my photos on my laptop, with too small a screen to be able to see them well, so this is just a cursory sample.)
I had a wonderful time in the Dry Tortugas, and got what I wanted—a look (and photos!) of Magnificent Frigatebirds with the throat pouch inflated.
I got one lifer on that trip, before we left Key West—a Bahama Mockingbird!
So far in Guyana, just around Georgetown, we’ve seen about 150 species! I badly wanted photos of Hoatzins, which I got yesterday.
My grandson Walter liked the name “Little Cuckoo” so this is for him:
Today we’re taking a small plane to the interior, and I probably won’t be posting again until after I get home on May 11 and get my act together.
