Invitation to two Zoom programs
I'm presenting "Fifty Years a Birder" on July 14 and "Birds of Cuba" on July 23.
Back in May, I gave one of the keynote talks at the Biggest Week in American Birding in Ohio: “Fifty Years a Birder.” The Black Swamp Bird Observatory, who founded and organizes The Biggest Week, has asked me to present the same program as part of their “At Home Virtual Learning” series, this coming Tuesday, July 14, at 7 pm EDT. (That’s EASTERN Daylight Time—BSBO is in Ohio.) The live Zoom program is free but you must pre-register.
I’ve birded in Cuba twice, in October 2016 and February 2025, and I presented a program to the Minnesota River Valley Audubon Club last month about the splendid birds there and my experiences. Now, as a thank you to my Substack subscribers (free or paid—my paying subscribers really do make much of my work possible, but all my Substack and podcast content is available for free), I’ll be providing pretty much the same program via Zoom on July 23 at 7 pm CDT. (That’s CENTRAL Daylight Time—I’m in Minnesota.) The link to the Zoom “meeting room” for the program is here. My Zoom account doesn’t allow more than 100 participants, but I’ve never gotten close to the limit yet.
